   Welcome to the River City Science Academy Mandarin application page.  We are extremely excited that you have chosen to apply to River City Science Academy Mandarin.  Our mission is to ensure all students reach their maximum potential in a diverse, structured, and nurturing environment and to prepare students for a future in the areas of STEM.  

    River City Science Academy is a STEM-focused public charter school with six campus locations.  We welcome and are open to any students residing in Duval County, Florida, and neighboring counties, such as St. Johns and Clay whose parents or guardians submit a timely application that can only be submitted online through our website. Duval County residents have priority to enter. If you changed your address to Duval County but the application is outside the county, you need to contact our registrar to change your address.  The school will admit students of any race, color, national origin, religion, or gender. Each RCSA school campus will have its own open enrollment period. All applicants who applied by the deadline will have an equal opportunity in the drawing during the lottery process.  All River City Science Academy Mandarin applications must be received by no later than January 31, 2025, at 4:00 pm, to be eligible for the 2025-2026 school year lottery. The lottery determination will be made after all applications are made to the school on January 31st at 4 pm. 

The lottery is scheduled to be on February 7, 2025, at RCSA Intracoastal at 2002 San Pablo Rd S, Jacksonville, FL 32224 at 4:30 pm.

To be eligible for enrollment, Kindergarten applicants must be or turning 5 years old by September 1, 2024.

    If you are selected, you will be notified via email by March 7, 2025. Parents have 1 week to accept the seat.  Thereafter, it is offered to another student, and the application will be moved to the bottom of the waitlist. The parents must come into the school to fill out the enrollment packet. If you are not selected, you will be placed on a waiting list in the order you are drawn and contacted should a spot become available.

   Please be advised that RCSA does not allow transfers between campus locations.  You are free to apply for multiple campus locations.  However, once you accept an enrollment offer at a campus location, you will not be able to transfer to a different campus later.
